Chateau Le Bon Pasteur 2022 is a red Pomerol with a strong sense of place. It is the grand vin of Château Le Bon Pasteur, sourced from a mosaic of parcels within the appellation, on gravel and clay soils. The blend is 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, giving the wine a generous yet structured Pomerol identity.The 2022 growing season was early and demanding, shaped by dry conditions, heat and a harvest carried out from 9 to 27 September in late-summer weather. The production details show real precision: hand harvesting, double sorting before and after destemming, cold maceration, full vinification in 225-litre barriques and 15 months of ageing in barriques, 70% of them new.
