Château Beaumont 2022 is a red Haut-Médoc from Bordeaux with a clear Left Bank identity. Cabernet sauvignon leads the blend, supported by merlot and a small proportion of petit verdot. In this vintage the cabernet sauvignon share is 65%, higher than usual for the wine, giving a sense of structure, dark fruit and the graphite-like character often associated with this style of Médoc.The estate is based in Cussac-Fort-Médoc, between Margaux and Saint-Julien. Its vineyards are planted on deep gravel soils and sandy Günz gravel rises, with the nearby Gironde helping to moderate the climate. The 2022 growing season was warm, dry and very sunny, bringing strong ripeness, while the château also notes that freshness was retained.
Vinification is described as gentle and selective, aimed at drawing out colour, tannin and aroma without excessive extraction.
