Château Gloria 2022 in half-bottle is a red Saint-Julien from Bordeaux, presented in a practical 37.5 cl format. It is a useful choice when you want the feel of a serious Médoc wine without opening a full bottle.Gloria has a distinctive story within Saint-Julien. It is not an 1855 classified growth; instead, Henri Martin built the estate through separately acquired parcels within the appellation. The vineyards are spread around Beychevelle and towards the western and northern parts of Saint-Julien, on gravel soils with clay and sand beneath.
The 2022 vintage was shaped by a hot, dry summer and lower yields, producing small berries with notable concentration. The blend is led by cabernet sauvignon, supported by merlot, petit verdot and cabernet franc. The grapes were hand-harvested, traditionally vinified and aged for 14 months in barrels, partly new and partly one year old.
