Product info about Chateau Gloria 2022
Château Gloria 2022 is a red Saint-Julien from Bordeaux's Left Bank, in the Médoc. It is the grand vin of Château Gloria, an estate without an 1855 classification because it was built up after that historic ranking, yet firmly rooted in the Saint-Julien appellation.The 2022 blend brings together cabernet sauvignon, merlot, petit verdot and cabernet franc. Its fruit comes from parcels spread across several parts of Saint-Julien, on gravel soils over clay and sand. That setting supports the wine's mix of depth, structure and the composed style associated with this part of Bordeaux.
The growing season was warm and dry, producing small berries with high concentration. Grapes were harvested by hand, vinified traditionally in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, and aged for 14 months in barrels, partly new and partly one year old. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a Saint-Julien with a clear sense of place: ripe, structured and made with enough substance to develop further.
These are the last bottles available with us, which adds a little extra interest to a 2022 Bordeaux already positioned for drinking with air in its youth or for cellaring over the coming years.

Château Gloria is a winery from the renowned Bordeaux region in France, more specifically located in the appellation of Saint-Julien in the Médoc. This estate is relatively young compared to many other established names in the region, as it was founded in the 1940s by Henri Martin, a well-known figure in the world of Bordeaux wines. Château Gloria has vineyards scattered throughout Saint-Julien, and the selection of plots has been carefully built up over the years from parts of several well-known cru-classé estates. Although Château Gloria does not have a classification under the famous 1855 classification system, the wine is appreciated for its characteristic Saint-Julien style with a balanced combination of power, elegance, and complexity.
