Domane Serrig Vogelsang Kabinett 2021 is a white German Riesling from the Saar, within the wider Mosel region. It comes from the Serriger Vogelsang, a monopole vineyard of steep slate slopes and a cool microclimate. That setting defines the wine: low in alcohol, delicately sweet in Kabinett style, yet carried by acidity, salinity and a clear mineral line.There is a strong estate story behind it as well. Domane Serrig traces back to a former Prussian state domaine founded in 1904 and was later revived by Markus Molitor. The Kabinett is made from hand-harvested, selected healthy grapes. Gentle pressing, brief skin contact, slow cool spontaneous fermentation and ten months on fine lees in stainless steel all support the clean, finely drawn style. Further bottle ageing before release gives the 2021 vintage extra composure without taking away its tension.
