Aromatically, it centres on ripe red fruit, especially cherry, raspberry and strawberry, with redcurrant, cranberry, light spice and a subtle touch of forest floor.On the palate it is round, fairly broad in texture and fleshy in its red-fruit expression, with enough tension to keep it lifted. The tannins are described as silky, though a recent tasting also found them still firm and youthful. That gives the wine immediate fruit, but also structure for further bottle development. Serve around 14 to 16 °C with grilled or roasted red meat, game or cheese.

Domaine Maurice et Anne-Marie Chapuis Savigny-Les-Beaune 2022 is a red Burgundy from the Côte de Beaune, made entirely from Pinot Noir. It comes from Domaine Chapuis in Aloxe-Corton, a family estate with vineyards around the hill of Corton. Since 2018, Pierre and Claire Chapuis have gradually taken over from Maurice and Anne-Marie, so this bottle sits at the meeting point between family continuity and a newer generation at the domaine.Savigny-lès-Beaune lies on both sides of the Rhoin, where gently sloping vineyards and deeper soils are associated with a more powerful, fruit-driven style. The domaine's red wines are traditionally aged in French barrels for around 18 months, with only a limited share of new oak. That gives the wine shape and depth without pushing the Pinot Noir fruit into the background.
The 2022 vintage was warm and dry, with harvest starting on 29 August and lasting around ten days. After the frost-reduced 2021 crop, 2022 brought more generous yields. The domaine describes the wines as fleshy and dense, with fine tannins, balanced alcohol and acidity that remained intact despite the warm season.

The vintage also received attention from The Drinks Business, Bettane Desseauve, Guide Hachette and Gilbert & Gaillard, and these are the last bottles we have of this release.
