Château Citran 2021 is the estate's grand vin from Haut-Médoc in Bordeaux. It follows the classic Left Bank model, led by Cabernet Sauvignon and supported by Merlot and Cabernet Franc. In this vintage, the wine is described less as a broad, powerful Bordeaux and more as a fresh, linear expression with clear structure.The estate is based in Avensan and works with 86 hectares of vineyards, including gravelly-sandy soils on limestone and clay-limestone parcels. Maturation took place for 14 months in French oak barrels, with 33% new oak. The oak influence is present, yet the wine is built in a way that allows fruit, tannin and wood to come together further with bottle age.
