Château Chasse-Spleen 2021 is a red Bordeaux from Moulis-en-Médoc, on the Left Bank of Bordeaux. This is the estate's grand vin in magnum format, giving the wine a generous table presence while keeping the identity of the 2021 vintage clearly intact.The vintage was shaped by demanding conditions: wet periods, April frost, a humid flowering and rain again around harvest. Chasse-Spleen still brought the grapes to ripeness, and the result is described in a more classical register rather than a broad, opulent one. Cabernet sauvignon leads the blend, supported by merlot and petit verdot, with the gravelly Grand Poujeaux setting forming an important part of the wine's Médoc character.
