Château Gloria 2021 is a red Saint-Julien from Bordeaux with a clear Left Bank identity. Cabernet Sauvignon leads the blend, supported by Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, and the vintage gives the wine a style built around freshness, definition and a more slender structure rather than sheer weight.The fruit comes from vineyards spread across three parts of Saint-Julien, including the centre of Beychevelle, the west of the appellation and the northern area bordering Pauillac. The vines average around 40 years of age and grow on Günz gravel over a clay-sandy subsoil. In 2021, a cooler and wetter growing season was followed by more favourable conditions in September and October, helping the wine retain aromatic clarity and freshness.
Traditional vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats was followed by 14 months in oak barrels, with a significant proportion of new barriques.
