Château Saint-Pierre 2021 in magnum is a red Bordeaux from Saint-Julien, produced as the grand vin of a Fourth Growth classified in 1855. The estate is one of the smaller classified crus in the appellation, with around 17 hectares of vines in Saint-Julien-Beychevelle. That relatively compact scale suits the style of the wine: focused, Cabernet-led and shaped by gravel, clay and sand soils.The 2021 vintage is built around 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, supported by Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The vines average around 60 years of age, and the grapes are hand-harvested with parcel-level selection.
