Blanc de Lynch-Bages 2021 is a dry white Bordeaux from Château Lynch-Bages in Pauillac, a property far better known for red wine, yet one that has produced this white cuvée since 1990. That gives it an interesting place in Médoc history, among the early white wines made by a Cru Classé estate.The 2021 blend is led by Sauvignon Blanc, with Sémillon and a small proportion of Muscadelle adding shape and nuance. That explains the wine's combination of bright aromatic lift, rounded texture and a more structured feel on the palate. The white grapes come from around seven hectares of vines within the historic Lynch-Bages terroir.
Its cellar work is clearly aimed at preserving precision. Much of the must ferments in individually temperature-controlled barriques, followed by six months on fine lees with regular bâtonnage. The barrique ageing, partly in new oak, supports the wine's texture while keeping the fresh, linear character of the vintage intact.

About LYNCH BAGES
Lynch Bages is a French wine producer from the Bordeaux region, more specifically from the Pauillac appellation in the Medoc. The winery has a history dating back to the 18th century and takes its name from the Lynch family, of Irish origin, and the location of the estate in the hamlet of Bages. The vineyards are situated on one of the characteristic gravel plateaus of Pauillac, near the river Gironde. Since 1939, the estate has been owned by the Cazes family, who have further developed and modernized it. The estate is part of the so-called Cinquième Grands Crus Classes according to the 1855 classification. The wines of Lynch Bages are blends of classic Bordeaux grape varieties, mainly Cabernet Sauvignon, supplemented with Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The style of the wine is known for its firm structure and rich character, often with great longevity and a distinctive Pauillac profile. In addition to the grand vin, the estate also produces a second wine, Echo de Lynch-Bages, as well as some white wines. With a combination of tradition and modern winemaking techniques, Lynch Bages plays a recognizable role within the Bordeaux wine landscape.
