Domaine Villemaine Touraine Chenonceaux Rouge 2022 is a red Loire wine with a clearly defined sense of place. It comes from the AOC Touraine Chenonceaux in the Touraine, near the Cher, and is made from 80% côt and 20% cabernet franc. Côt is the local Loire name for malbec, giving this wine a darker, more concentrated side than many people might first associate with red Touraine.The grapes are grown on selected south-facing parcels with a gentle slope and low yields. Domaine Villemaine mentions reasoned agriculture, HVE certification and leaf removal in the vineyard.
