Domaine Villemaine Côt 2023 is a red Loire wine from Touraine, made entirely from Côt, the Loire name for Malbec. In the Drankenshop Broekmans range, it stands out as a Loire red with more structure and darker fruit than many people might immediately expect from the region.
The estate is based in Thésée, near Blois, on clay-limestone soils. Domaine Villemaine describes itself as a family domaine with roots going back to 1825, and this cuvée is produced under agriculture raisonnée with HVE certification. It forms part of the Intemporelle range and is made as an AOC Touraine.
The cellar work is kept focused: the grapes are destemmed, macerated for 8 to 10 days in concrete vats, fermented at 25 °C, then pressed and (…)Domaine Villemaine Emynence 2021

Domaine Villemaine Emynence 2021 is a red wine from France's Loire Valley, produced under the AOC Touraine Rouge appellation from 100% Côt, the Loire name for Malbec. It shows a distinctly Touraine approach to the grape: dark-fruited, structured and generous, yet carried by freshness rather than weight alone.
The wine comes from Domaine Villemaine in Thésée, a family estate with a history going back to 1825. Emynence belongs to the estate's Signature range and is made with destemmed grapes, a 15-day cuvaison in concrete vats, malolactic fermentation under the marc and one year of ageing in 400-litre barrels. Those details matter because they frame the wine's personality: depth, tannic presence and a clear fruit-driven core.

Domaine Villemaine Gamay 2024 is a red Loire wine from AOC Touraine, made entirely from Gamay. The estate is based in Thésée, near Blois, and this wine is presented in a style that keeps close to the grape: fruit-driven, supple and with no oak ageing mentioned.
Its appeal comes from careful vineyard selection and a straightforward cellar approach. The grapes are hand-harvested, fermented for a short period in concrete vats, then go through malolactic fermentation before ageing in tank until bottling. That keeps the focus on fresh red fruit and an easy, fluid drinking style.
Domaine Villemaine is a family estate with a history dating back to 1825, working vineyards on clay-limestone soils and carrying HVE certification. At Drankenshop Broekmans, (…)Domaine Villemaine Heritage Du Haut Chesneau Gamay 2021

Domaine Villemaine Heritage du Haut Chesneau Gamay 2021 is a red wine from the Loire, produced in Touraine from 100% Gamay. Its appeal lies in a lighter, supple style where red fruit remains at the centre. No oak ageing is mentioned for this wine, so the expression stays focused on the grape and the freshness of the cuvée.
Domaine Villemaine is based in Thîsée and has been connected with winegrowing and farming in the area since 1825. For this Gamay, the estate works with selected parcels and hand-harvested grapes. Fermentation takes place in concrete vats, followed by malolactic fermentation and ageing in tank until bottling.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Loire red we would introduce to someone looking for a French wine (…)Domaine Villemaine Pinot Noir 2023

Domaine Villemaine Pinot Noir 2023 is a still red wine from the Loire, made from 100% pinot noir and released as IGP Val de Loire. The family estate is based in Thésée, near Blois, and has been active since 1825, working around 45 hectares of vineyards on clay-limestone soils.
The winemaking is kept focused on clarity of fruit. The grapes are destemmed, followed by 7 days of maceration and malolactic fermentation. Ageing is split between tank and wood: 80% remains in cuve, while 20% spends 1 year in barrique. That gives the wine a gentle wood accent without moving the fruit out of the foreground.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Loire Pinot Noir we like to present when someone is looking for a red wine with character but no (…)Domaine Villemaine Touraine Chenonceaux Blanc 2024

Domaine Villemaine Touraine Chenonceaux Blanc 2024

Domaine Villemaine Touraine Chenonceaux Blanc 2024 is a white Loire wine from the AOC Touraine Chenonceaux, made entirely from Sauvignon Blanc. The estate is based in Thîsîe in the Touraine and has a family history dating back to 1825. For this cuvée, the grapes come from selected south-facing parcels with low yields, grown on clay-limestone soils.
The interest here lies in the way the wine gives Sauvignon Blanc extra breadth without moving into an oaked style. The grapes are destemmed and pressed, 30% of the cuvée sees skin contact, and the wine spends nine months on fine lees. That lees ageing supports texture and aromatic softness while keeping the focus on fruit, floral detail and Loire freshness.

Domaine Villemaine Touraine Chenonceaux Rouge 2022

Domaine Villemaine Touraine Chenonceaux Rouge 2022 is a red Loire wine with a clearly defined sense of place. It comes from the AOC Touraine Chenonceaux in the Touraine, near the Cher, and is made from 80% côt and 20% cabernet franc. Côt is the local Loire name for malbec, giving this wine a darker, more concentrated side than many people might first associate with red Touraine.
The grapes are grown on selected south-facing parcels with a gentle slope and low yields. Domaine Villemaine mentions reasoned agriculture, HVE certification and leaf removal in the vineyard. In the cellar, the two grape varieties are vinified separately before the wine spends ten months in tank. With no oak maturation stated, the focus remains on dark fruit, freshness and tannic (…)
