Château Feytit-Clinet 2020 is a red Pomerol from Bordeaux's right bank, shaped by a blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. The estate covers around 6 to 6.5 hectares, with gravel and gravel-on-clay soils, and the wine clearly sits in the more concentrated, cellar-worthy side of Pomerol.The grapes were hand-harvested between 11 and 28 September 2020, with selection before and after destemming. Vinification took place in concrete vats, with gentle extraction, malolactic fermentation in barriques and 16 months of ageing in barrel, including 70% new oak. A short period on fine lees with bâtonnage adds further depth to the picture of a carefully built wine.
