Product info about Alter Ego 2020 Demi (37,5cl)
Alter Ego de Palmer 2020 is the second red wine of Château Palmer in Margaux, created as a distinct interpretation of the estate rather than a simple afterthought. It comes from the same domaine, but is shaped in a style that is more approachable in youth than the grand vin. The demi format of 37.5 cl makes it especially attractive when you want the experience of a serious Bordeaux without opening a full bottle.The 2020 blend is led by cabernet sauvignon and merlot, with a small share of petit verdot, all from Château Palmer's vineyards in Cantenac, in the centre of the Margaux appellation. The vines grow on gravel terraces, and the vintage itself was an early and contrasted one, moving from a wet spring to warm, dry conditions before harvest took place between 15 and 29 September.
After vinification by grape variety and parcel, the wine was aged for around 18 months with a measured proportion of new oak barrels, keeping the emphasis on fruit and aromatic intensity. This vintage also forms part of the estate's biodynamically certified production.

About CH PALMER
Château Palmer is a renowned wine producer from the Bordeaux region in France, more specifically from the Margaux appellation in the Médoc. The estate has a history that dates back to the early 19th century and is known for its namesake red wines. Château Palmer is often associated with a style that combines elegance and refinement, which is typical for quality wines from Margaux. The vineyards are planted mainly with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and a smaller share of Petit Verdot, resulting in a classic Bordeaux blend.
