Château Palmer 2020 Magnum is the grand vin of Château Palmer from Margaux, on Bordeaux's Left Bank. In this 1.5-litre format, it carries the stature of a dry red Bordeaux blend and a 3ème Grand Cru Classé from the 1855 classification.The 2020 growing season was early and demanding: an early budburst, a wet spring, then warmer and drier conditions with periods of water stress. According to the château, the vintage produced sunny merlot, fine yet powerful cabernet sauvignon and a clear expression of Margaux's gravel-rich terroir. The blend is almost perfectly balanced between 48% merlot and 48% cabernet sauvignon, with 4% petit verdot.

Vinification was carried out parcel by parcel in temperature-controlled conical vats, followed by maturation in barriques and large wooden foudres. Château Palmer works biodynamically, and the 2020 vintage is listed within the estate's biodynamic certification by Demeter France.
