Product info about Chateau Siran 2020
Chateau Siran 2020 is the grand vin of Château Siran, from the estate's vineyards in Labarde within the Margaux appellation. This is not the second wine S de Siran, but the château's main red Bordeaux, blending merlot, cabernet sauvignon, petit verdot and a small proportion of cabernet franc.The vineyards are planted on a gravel-rich rise with old alluvial deposits and fine siliceous graves. The 2020 season brought a mild, rainy winter and spring, followed by a warm, dry summer. According to the château, that combination produced generous ripe merlot, cabernet with finesse and precision, and fully ripe petit verdot.
Harvesting was carried out by hand in small crates, followed by manual sorting. Vinification took place parcel by parcel in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with 12 months of ageing in fine-grained, medium-toast French oak barrels, 35% of them new. The oak influence sits in the background through classic notes such as cedar and tobacco, while the wine remains driven by fruit, freshness and polished tannins.

About CH SIRAN
Château Siran is a historic wine estate from the Bordeaux region, located in the Margaux appellation, south of the city of Bordeaux in France. The estate has a long history dating back to the 17th century and has been owned for generations by the same family, the Miailhe family. Château Siran is known for its classic Bordeaux wines, which are mainly made from a blend of traditional grape varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. The vineyards are spread over a terroir with a mixture of gravel and sand, which influences the character and elegance of the wines. This estate is one of the few non-classified crus from Margaux that enjoy much recognition among enthusiasts due to their consistent quality and distinctive style.
