Sena 2020 Demi is the 37.5 cl half-bottle version of a serious red wine from Chile's Aconcagua Valley. It is a useful format when you want the depth of a full-scale wine without opening a full bottle, especially around a carefully chosen meal.The wine is Bordeaux-inspired in style, built around Cabernet Sauvignon with Malbec, Carmenere and Petit Verdot. Carmenere gives the blend a distinctly Chilean accent. The fruit comes from the biodynamically farmed Sena vineyard, a hillside site around 40 kilometres from the Pacific Ocean, where maritime influence helps retain freshness during ripening.
The 2020 vintage was warm and early, giving the wine concentration, power and richness while still preserving aromatic lift and freshness. Maturation lasted 22 months, mainly in French oak barrels with a portion in foudres, adding structure while remaining supportive rather than dominant.
