Château d'Yquem 2016 Demi is the half-bottle format of Château d'Yquem 2016, the sweet white wine from Sauternes in Bordeaux. The 37.5 cl size does not indicate a separate cuvée; it is the same wine in a smaller bottle, well suited to thoughtful serving at the table.Yquem has a singular position in Sauternes: it is the only estate classified as Premier Cru Supérieur in the 1855 classification of Sauternes and Barsac. The 2016 vintage is made from 75% sémillon and 25% sauvignon blanc, with grapes concentrated by noble rot. Harvesting took place in four successive passes between late September and early November, following a warm, very dry summer and a cool, dry autumn that allowed botrytis to develop slowly and evenly.

About CH D'YQUEM
Château d'Yquem is a French winery that is world-renowned for its exclusive and long-lived Sauternes, a noble sweet white wine from the Bordeaux region. The estate is located in the Sauternes appellation in the south of Bordeaux and has a rich history dating back to the end of the 16th century. Château d'Yquem is the only winery in Sauternes with the Premier Cru Supérieur classification, a status it received during the famous 1855 classification.
