Château Grand Puy Ducasse 2019 is very much a Pauillac wine in spirit: a left-bank Bordeaux with structure, depth and a clear sense of place. It is the grand vin of the estate and carries the 5th Grand Cru Classé status from the 1855 classification, drawn from vineyard parcels spread across different Pauillac soils.The château describes 2019 as a sunny vintage, shaped by a warm, dry summer and well-timed rainfall in July and August. The blend is 49% Cabernet Sauvignon and 51% Merlot, giving the wine a distinctive balance between Pauillac firmness and a generous dark-fruited side.
The grapes were harvested by hand and selected before ageing for 18 months in French oak barriques. The gravelly terroirs of Pauillac and the estate's parcel-by-parcel approach are central here, supporting a wine with freshness, ripe tannins and the structure for further bottle development.

Château Grand-Puy Ducasse is a wine estate from the Bordeaux region in France, with vineyards located on the famous left bank of the Gironde river, in the Pauillac appellation. The estate has a history dating back to the early 19th century and is regarded as one of the classés crus from the Bordeaux classification of 1855, where it was ranked as a fifth growth (Cinquième Cru Classé).
