Product info about Chateau Laroze 2019
Château Laroze 2019 is a red wine from Saint-Émilion and represents the main wine of Château Laroze. The estate lies just north-west of the historic village of Saint-Émilion, with around 27 hectares of vineyard in one continuous block at the foot of the slope. The château links its siliceous and clay-based soils to a style that combines subtlety with structure.The 2019 vintage is made from 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. A warm, dry summer and a harvest running from late September into early October shaped a wine described by the estate as deeply coloured, generous in character and marked by elegant tannins. The grapes were vinified separately by variety and parcel in stainless steel and concrete vats, followed by 18 months of ageing, including new oak and a small proportion in jars.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Saint-Émilion we like to present through its vintage, its place and the way the blend is built. Merlot gives the wine its central body, while the relatively high share of Cabernet Franc adds aromatic drive, structure and ageing potential. With only the last bottles remaining, this well-liked 2019 has become a particularly relevant choice for those following mature Bordeaux vintages.
Serve it at around 16 to 18°C. Opening the bottle about an hour before serving can help the layers unfold, especially alongside entrecôte, duck or soft cheeses such as Brie and Camembert.
