Clos Haut Peyraguey 2019 Demi is a half-bottle of sweet white Sauternes from Château Clos Haut-Peyraguey in Bommes, Bordeaux. The estate is one of the Premiers Grands Crus Classés de Sauternes from the 1855 classification, placing this wine firmly within one of the classic traditions of French dessert wine.The 2019 vintage is made predominantly from sémillon, with a small share of sauvignon blanc. The grapes come from an 8.5-hectare vineyard with around 40-year-old vines, planted on gravel and sand over a clay subsoil. Harvesting is carried out by hand in several passes, allowing the estate to select botrytis-affected grapes with the concentration needed for this rich, sweet style.
