Product info about Pazo De San Mauro Albarino 2022
Pazo de San Mauro Albariño 2022 is a dry white wine from Rías Baixas in Galicia, made entirely from Albariño. It comes from the historic Pazo de San Mauro estate in Salvaterra do Miño, Pontevedra, close to the Portuguese border and shaped by its position along the Miño river.The character of the wine is closely tied to its vineyard. The grapes are sourced from Finca Pazo de San Mauro, a 20-hectare estate vineyard with vines averaging 35 years of age. Terraces, rounded stones, granite-rich soils and sandier sections nearer the river all contribute to a wine with freshness, aromatic lift and a saline, mineral edge.
The 2022 vintage was warm and dry, with much less rainfall than the previous year. That brought extra concentration to the grapes and moved the harvest forward. In the cellar, the wine was vinified in three separate ways: low-temperature maceration, whole-bunch handling and direct pressing after destemming. It gives this Albariño a more layered feel than a simple fresh white.

Marques de Vargas is a Spanish wine producer with roots in the legendary Rioja region. The estate is closely linked to the history of the De Vargas family, who have been active in viticulture for generations.
