Château Bernard Magrez 2019 Demi is a red Bordeaux in half-bottle format, 37.5 cl. The word demi refers to the size, not to a separate cuvée, so this is the same wine presented in a smaller bottle.The blend is based on merlot and cabernet sauvignon, shaped through small temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats, around 30 days of maceration and partial integral vinification in barriques. Fourteen months of ageing, including new barriques, once-used barriques and a portion in jars, gives the wine a serious, structured Bordeaux identity rather than a light everyday style.
