Château Laroze 2019 Magnum is a red Bordeaux from Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, bottled in the generous 1.5 litre format. It is the estate's first wine, coming from Château Laroze, a Grand Cru Classé property historically linked to the Gurchy-Meslin family and developed as a château in 1882.The 2019 vintage was shaped by a warm, dry summer, with rainfall before harvest helping the season find its balance. The blend is 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. That relatively strong presence of Cabernet Franc is one of the details that gives this wine its identity, as the château associates it with aromatic intensity, structure and ageing potential.
Fermentation took place in stainless steel and concrete tanks, followed by 18 months of ageing, including a significant share of new barrels and a portion in jars. The result sits firmly in the Saint-Émilion tradition: ripe fruit, depth of colour and structured tannins, with the 2019 vintage noted for elegance as well as maturity.
