Chateau Troplong Mondot 2010 is a red Bordeaux from Saint-Émilion, produced as the grand vin of Château Troplong Mondot and belonging to the Premier Grand Cru Classé category. It is a Merlot-led blend, supported by Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, from elevated vineyards on clay-limestone soils.That setting is central to the wine's personality. The deep clay supports the ripeness and density of Merlot, while the limestone is described by the estate as bringing tension and freshness. In the 2010 vintage, the result is a Saint-Émilion with weight, concentration, firm tannic structure and a notably ripe style. Château Troplong Mondot is a winery that is located on the distinctive limestone hills of Saint-Émilion, in the heart of Bordeaux, France.
