Zeni Passito Bianco del Veneto Demi is a sweet white passito wine from Veneto, made by Cantina F.lli Zeni in Bardolino, close to Lake Garda. The 37.5 cl half bottle feels very much in tune with the wine's purpose: a concentrated glass for dessert, foie gras or a quiet moment on its own.It is produced from Garganega and Chardonnay grown in the province of Verona. The grapes are hand-selected at full ripeness and then dried for 3 to 4 months in small crates. Part of the fruit develops noble rot during this period, adding to the depth and intensity of the wine.
Only the first must is used after gentle pressing. Slow fermentation in barriques and 12 to 16 months of maturation in French oak shape its warm, sweet and persistent style.
