Caillou Blanc 2019 is the white Bordeaux from Château Talbot, an estate far better known for its red Saint-Julien wines. About CH TALBOT
Château Talbot is a well-known French wine producer from the Bordeaux region, more specifically from Saint-Julien, one of the prestigious appellations in the Médoc. The estate owes its name to Connetable Talbot, an English knight from the 15th century, and now has a rich history dating back to the 18th century. Château Talbot is especially known for its wines, which are often classified as Quatrième Grand Cru Classé according to the famous Bordeaux classification of 1855. The estate covers more than 100 hectares, mainly with cabernet sauvignon, merlot, petit verdot and cabernet franc. The wines from this house are known for their classic Bordeaux style with a firm structure, elegant spiciness and a long aging potential, typical for the Saint-Julien terroir. In the cellar the emphasis is on traditional vinification, which contributes to the character and consistency of the vintages. In addition to the grand vin, the estate also produces a second wine, Connetable Talbot, which is more accessible in its youth. Château Talbot has been managed for generations by the Cordier family, who continue the estate with great attention to tradition and quality. This combination of history, craftsmanship and terroir makes it a trusted address for lovers of classic Bordeaux wines.
