Château Rauzan-Ségla 2015 is a dry red Bordeaux from Margaux and the estate's grand vin. That distinction matters: this is Château Rauzan-Ségla itself, not the second wine Ségla, and it carries the standing of a Deuxième Cru Classé from the 1855 classification.The 2015 vintage is built mainly around Cabernet Sauvignon, supported by Merlot and small proportions of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. The fruit was hand-harvested in small crates and handled parcel by parcel, even down to individual zones within parcels. That level of selection suits an estate with a highly fragmented vineyard structure and gives the wine its composed, detailed feel.
Eighteen months in French oak barrels, with a significant share of new wood, add depth and shape while keeping the Margaux signature in view. The emphasis remains on ripe yet fresh fruit, floral lift, polished tannins and the kind of structure that explains why this vintage is widely regarded as one for cellaring.
In the Bordeaux range at Drankenshop Broekmans, this is a bottle with real presence: a classified-growth Margaux from a strong year, now down to the last bottles. It is the sort of wine to open thoughtfully, preferably with a dish that can meet its depth and structure, or to keep for further development.

Château Rauzan-Ségla is a respected name within the Bordeaux region, specifically in the Margaux appellation of the Médoc. This French winery has a long history dating back to the 17th century, when Pierre de Rauzan laid the foundations of the current estate. Today, Rauzan-Ségla is part of the châteaux classified as Deuxième Grand Cru Classé in the famous 1855 classification, which marks a distinctive position within the wine world. The estate has extensive vineyards with classic Margaux terroir, where mainly Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are cultivated, often supplemented with small amounts of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc.
