Its fruit sits mainly in the dark and blue spectrum: blackcurrant, cassis, blackberry, blueberry, black cherry and plum, with occasional raspberry brightness.The fruit is layered with clove, sweet spice, chocolate, coffee, nougat, tobacco and incense, alongside a subtle touch of bay leaf or eucalyptus. Oak influence comes through as toast, spice and chocolate, without turning the wine into an oak-dominated style.
The tannins are present and structured, ranging from fine to firm, with enough freshness to carry the finish. With aeration, the aromatics open further, and the finish can show a mineral edge of slate and crushed stone, followed by a chocolate-toned length.

Product info about Chateau Du Glana 2019
Chateau Du Glana 2019 is a red Saint-Julien from Bordeaux's Left Bank, in the Médoc. This is the grand vin of Château du Glana rather than the second wine, built around a Cabernet Sauvignon-led blend with Merlot in support. For the 2019 vintage, the château particularly highlights ripe fruit, tannic structure and the quality of the Cabernet Sauvignon.The growing season helps explain the wine's shape. A mild winter brought early budbreak, followed by cooler flowering without significant impact on the crop. The summer was exceptionally warm and caused noticeable water stress, yet ripening did not stop. A dry, warm and sunny September then encouraged even véraison and contributed colour and tannin potential to the grapes.
In the cellar, the wine was handled in a classic, precise Bordeaux manner: a 48-hour cold pre-fermentation maceration, parcel-by-parcel vinification in concrete and stainless-steel vats, around three weeks of cuvaison, and 12 months in French oak barriques, 40% of them new for this vintage. That gives context to the wine's combination of dark fruit, structure and measured spicy oak notes.

About CH DU GLANA
Ch Du Glana is a French wine producer originating from the well-known Bordeaux region, more specifically located in the appellation Saint-Julien in the Medoc. The winery, officially Château du Glana, owns vineyards that are mainly known for the classic Bordeaux grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The history of the estate goes back to the beginning of the twentieth century and saw strong development from the middle of that century onwards, with investments in modern viticulture and winemaking techniques. The vineyards can be found on the gravel-rich soil close to the river Gironde, which is typical for the wines from Saint-Julien. The red wines of Ch Du Glana are known for their elegant, balanced style with fruity notes and a subtle hint of oak aging. Due to its location and methods, the character of these wines corresponds well with other Saint-Julien producers, but Ch Du Glana distinguishes itself thanks to a relatively approachable character and good price-quality ratio.
