John Glaser, de man achter Compass Box herinnert ons er te gepasten tijde aan eerst in de wijnindustrie gewerkt te hebben alvorens de whisky wereld binnen te treden. Misschien verklaart deze ervaring wel zijn geheel eigen, vernieuwende kijk op de whisky scene. Zijn manier om whisky te ontwerpen verrast onophoudelijk de scotch wereld die over het algemeen een meer academische strekking volgt. Zo werd John enkele maanden geleden alweer op het matje geroepen door de SWA (Scotch Whisky Association). Aanleiding hiertoe was een te grote transparantie over de exacte inhoud van verschillende van zijn creaties (leeftijd, distilleerderijnamen van de spirits, type vat, whiskypercentages in het recept,â¦), en dat uitgerekend tijdens een periode van aanhoudende vraag naar meer info van de consument uit over de producten die hij tot zich neemt! Afgezien van deze controverse laat Compass Box inderdaad de wereld van de traditionele assemblage op zijn grondvesten daveren door een werkelijk artisanale aanpak. Dit is, zonder enige twijfel, de sleutel tot het plezier dat Compass box met elk van haar creaties aan de liefhebber wil verschaffen. Hiervoor gaat Glaser veel verder dan de gemiddelde handelaar in de selectie van zijn single malts en single grains. Hij engageert zich om tijdens het assembleren van deze eau de vie niet enkel een nieuwe whisky te ontwikkelen maar bovenop een voorheen totaal ongekende emotie los te weken.

Will my product be properly packaged?
All our orders are packed with the utmost care in sturdy cardboard shipping boxes, and filled with environmentally friendly crumpled cardboard to prevent damage to the bottle and packaging. We try to avoid the use of bubble wrap and other plastic as much as possible.
However, certain boxes and tubes are extremely sensitive to any form of packaging, and a package also goes through a lot before it is delivered to your front door. We offer you the assurance of completely flawless packaging in our shop in Zolder.
Can I ask questions about the product specifications?
Our team strives to supplement photos and product specifications with the utmost care and to keep them up-to-date. Unfortunately, this is not always possible, especially for products with a high rotation, products with multiple versions/packaging and products that are released several times under the same name/denominator/barcode, each time with a different lot number or different bottling date. Because the basic product is the same in such cases, we do not make a distinction in our webshop and we deliver what is in stock at that time.
If you are looking for a very specific release of a product, e.g. to supplement your collection, it is best to contact our customer service in advance so that we can physically check this for you before you place your order . This way we prevent disappointment and unnecessary sending of bottles back and forth.
If the product you received does not match the product information that we communicated in advance, you can choose to return this bottle to us and obtain a return label from our customer service.
Why can I only enter a certain number?
In our webshop you can never order more than the quantity that we can immediately deliver from our stock at that time. For larger quantities, please contact our customer service. In addition, exceptionally popular releases can also be limited in number per customer account.
Can I pick up my online order in your shop?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to collect your online order from our shop. This is because the physical processing of online orders does not take place in our shop in Zolder.
In which countries can I have my order delivered?
Because of national excise legislation, each target market in which we operate has a separate webshop environment. You can order on all these environments with one customer account. Prices, delivery costs and ordering conditions differ per target market.

On this website, we only ship within Belgium. The following shipping rates for home delivery apply:

- Reduced for orders from €60 to €150: €6.99
- Free for orders from € 150 !
If you choose direct delivery to a Post Point or Pakjesautomaat in our checkout, you will also immediately benefit from cheaper shipping rates:
