Product info about Morand Poire Williamine
Morand Poire Williamine is a Swiss eau de vie with pear at the centre of its identity. The name itself gives the direction clearly: this is not a general spirit, but a fruit distillate built around Poire Williamine. At 43% alcohol, it has the strength and presence associated with this style of eau de vie. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we would place it among the more direct fruit spirits, where the character of the chosen fruit and the clarity of the distillate matter more than decoration or added complexity.

About MORAND
Morand is a Swiss family business that has been active in the production of liqueurs and distillates since its founding in 1889. The brand is based in Martigny, in the heart of Valais, a region known for its rich fruit growing. Over the years, Morand has specialized mainly in distilling locally grown fruit such as Williams pears, apricots and plums, which is an important feature of their range. This results in a series of fruity liqueurs with a clear regional identity. In addition to liqueurs, Morand also produces eaux-de-vie and syrups, making the brand popular not only in Switzerland but also beyond its borders. The strong connection with the Valais terroir remains a common thread in the company philosophy, where quality and tradition go hand in hand with a modern approach to distilling. Morand is still managed by descendants of the founders, which keeps the family feeling strong within the company. As a result, the brand is able to maintain a consistent style that is appreciated by lovers of classic, fruity Swiss drinks.
