About CYNAR
Cynar is an Italian bitter liqueur, invented in 1948 by Angelo Dalle Molle and his brothers. It is made from a blend of herbs with 13 ingrediënts, including the artichoke. The Latin name for artichoke is Cynara Scolymus, and that is where the drink gets its name. Cynar has a bittersweet taste and a dark brown color. You can drink it neat as an aperitif, or use it as a cocktail ingrediënt, for example as an alternative bitter in a negroni.
