Chateau Montrose 2016
On request only
Chateau Montrose 2016 is the grand vin of Château Montrose from Saint-Estèphe in Bordeaux, France. As a red Bordeaux from a Deuxième Grand Cru Classé estate in the 1855 classification, it carries a strong sense of place, especially through Terrasse N°04, described by the château as the original core terroir of the grand vin facing the Gironde.
The 2016 vintage brings together warm-season ripeness and detailed winemaking. The blend is 68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 7% Cabernet Franc, with 18 months of maturation in French oak barriques, 60% of them new. Micro-parcel vinification and gentle extraction give context to the wine's reputation for density, structure and precision.

Chateau Montrose 2018
On request only
Chateau Montrose 2018 is the Grand Vin of Château Montrose, a Deuxième Grand Cru Classé from Saint-Estèphe in the Médoc. This is a dry red Bordeaux blend from a property closely tied to its position near the Gironde, on terraces shaped by gravel, sand and clay. The château presents it as an expression of Terrasse 4, the historic heart of the vineyard and a site particularly suited to Cabernet Sauvignon.
The 2018 blend is led by Cabernet Sauvignon at 72%, supported by 20% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. The growing season brought a very wet winter, a warm humid spring and then a hot, dry summer. Small berries meant a high proportion of skins to juice, helping explain the concentration associated with this vintage.

Château Montrose 2021 Demi is the grand vin of Château Montrose in Saint-Estèphe, presented here in a 37.5 cl half bottle. It is a smaller format, but not a smaller wine: this is a classified Bordeaux from a château listed as a Deuxième Grand Cru Classé in the 1855 classification.
The 2021 blend is led by cabernet sauvignon, supported by merlot, cabernet franc and petit verdot. It comes from the Montrose terroir in Saint-Estèphe, on a gravel plateau overlooking the Gironde, with deep gravel soils and a clay-rich subsoil.
The vintage itself gives the wine much of its personality. A cool, demanding season required careful selection, followed by fermentation in stainless steel vats and 18 months of ageing in French (…)La Dame De Montrose 2019

La Dame de Montrose 2019 is the second wine of Château Montrose in Saint-Estèphe, made from the same vineyard as the Grand Vin but through its own selection and blending process. It carries the identity of the estate in a form described as silkier, more supple and more immediately marked by red fruit than the first wine.
The 2019 vintage came from a warm Bordeaux year, with picking taking place from 19 September to 8 October. The blend is led by 48% Cabernet Sauvignon and 45% Merlot, with smaller proportions of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. That Cabernet presence gives the wine structure, while the Merlot brings a rounder, more approachable side.
After 12 months in French oak barrels, 30% of them new, La Dame de Montrose 2019 shows the (…)La Dame De Montrose 2019 Demi (37,5cl)

La Dame de Montrose 2019 is the second wine of Château Montrose in Saint-Estèphe, offered here in the 37.5 cl half-bottle format. The word demi refers to the bottle size, not to a separate cuvée. It comes from the same vineyard as the Grand Vin and remains closely tied to the estate's Médoc identity.
The 2019 vintage stands out for its blend: 48% cabernet sauvignon, 45% merlot, with cabernet franc and petit verdot completing the composition. For La Dame de Montrose, that gives cabernet sauvignon a more prominent role than usual. The estate followed the vintage closely, with harvesting from 19 September to 8 October and separate vinification of different lots before the final selection and blend.

La Dame de Montrose 2019 is the second wine of Château Montrose in Saint-Estèphe, Bordeaux. It is made from grapes grown in the same vineyard as the Grand Vin, but through a second selection, giving it its own interpretation of the estate's terroir.
The 2019 blend is especially interesting because Cabernet Sauvignon takes the lead at 48%, supported by 45% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot. For La Dame de Montrose, where Merlot is often more prominent, that Cabernet presence gives this vintage a firmer Médoc line, with structure, savoury depth and graphite-like detail.
The vintage was handled with precision: harvesting took place parcel by parcel from 19 September to 8 October, followed by separate vinification of the different (…)La Dame De Montrose 2020

La Dame De Montrose 2020

La Dame de Montrose 2020 is the second wine of Château Montrose in Saint-Estèphe, made on the same estate as the grand vin. That is the key to its appeal: it carries the identity of a highly regarded Bordeaux château, while being positioned by the estate as its second selection, generally with a style that becomes approachable earlier than the first wine.
The 2020 blend brings together merlot, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc and petit verdot, with merlot just in front and a substantial share of cabernet sauvignon. It spent 12 months in French oak barriques, part of them new, adding structure and detail without the available tasting notes suggesting an overly oaky style.
The vintage itself was shaped by warmth, dryness and (…)La Dame De Montrose 2020 Magnum (1,5l) Incl. Box

La Dame de Montrose 2020 is the second wine of Château Montrose in Saint-Estèphe, in the Médoc. Its appeal lies in that close link to the estate: the wine is drawn from the same vineyard as the grand vin, yet shaped as a different expression of the Montrose terroir, with Merlot playing a significant role alongside Cabernet Sauvignon.
The 2020 growing season was early and demanding, with heat, dry conditions and smaller-than-average bunches. Montrose's clay-rich subsoil helped moderate water stress, and the fruit reached the cellar fully ripe and healthy. That background gives the wine a sense of depth while keeping the firm, linear Saint-Estèphe character clearly in view.
Presented here in magnum, La Dame de Montrose has real table (…)La Dame De Montrose 2021

La Dame de Montrose 2021 is the second wine of Château Montrose in Saint-Estèphe, produced from the same estate as the grand vin. It carries the Montrose identity, yet in a different register. For this vintage, Merlot takes the lead in the blend, supported by Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, giving the wine a rounder, more immediately fruit-driven expression while keeping the structure associated with Saint-Estèphe.
The 2021 growing season was marked by contrasts. A mild, dry start was followed by a cool and rainy spring, while warmer, sunnier conditions in September helped the four grape varieties continue ripening. Harvest took place from 21 September to 6 October. That context helps explain the wine's fresher, more precise feel (…)La Dame De Montrose 2021 Magnum (1,5l)

The 2021 blend is led by merlot at 53%, supported by cabernet sauvignon, petit verdot and cabernet franc. It carries the Montrose identity, but in a form described as more approachable than the grand vin.
The vintage had its challenges. A cool, wet spring required careful vineyard work, while warmer and sunnier conditions in September helped the four grape varieties move further towards maturity. Harvesting for La Dame de Montrose took place from 26 September to 6 October. In the cellar, the lots were vinified separately in stainless steel vats before 12 months of ageing in French oak barrels, 30% of them (…)La Dame De Montrose 2022

La Dame de Montrose 2022 is the second wine of Château Montrose in Saint-Estèphe, made from grapes grown in the same vineyard as the Grand Vin. That is important to understand the bottle: it is not a simple lighter Bordeaux, but a wine that carries the Montrose identity in a form that is generally more approachable earlier.
For the 2022 vintage, Merlot takes the lead with 71% of the blend, supported by Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. That Merlot presence shapes the more open side of La Dame de Montrose, while the wine keeps the firm Saint-Estèphe structure mentioned across the tasting descriptions. The growing season was warm and dry, with harvest taking place from 2 to 22 September. Plot-by-plot selection, adapted extraction and (…)La Dame De Montrose 2022 Demi (37,5cl)

In 2022, the blend is led by merlot at 71%, supported by cabernet sauvignon, petit verdot and cabernet franc. The growing season was warm and dry, producing healthy grapes with natural richness and concentration. In the cellar, the work was carried out parcel by parcel and vat by vat, before the final blend was drawn from a broad selection of lots. La Dame de Montrose 2022 is the second wine of Château Montrose in Saint-Estèphe, offered here in a 1.5 litre magnum. It is a bottle with real table presence, while staying firmly rooted in the Bordeaux identity of the Montrose estate.
The 2022 blend is led by Merlot, supported by Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. The fruit comes from the same vineyards as the estate's Grand Vin, close to the Gironde, where the estuary helps moderate the vineyard climate. In the warm, dry 2022 vintage, particular care was taken to retain freshness and tension, especially in the Merlot.
Each lot was handled separately, with extraction adapted to the character of the different components. The wine spent 12 months in French oak, around 30% of it (…)Tertio De Montrose 2017

Tertio De Montrose 2017

Tertio de Montrose 2017 offers a more approachable view of Château Montrose while staying firmly rooted in Saint-Estèphe. It is the estate's third wine, made in Bordeaux from the château's classic red grape varieties, with the 2017 blend led by Merlot and supported mainly by Cabernet Sauvignon.
The vintage has a clear sense of place. The 45-hectare vineyard was farmed organically, and its position close to the Gironde proved important during the spring frost, as the river helped moderate temperatures. After a dry, measured summer, September rain accelerated ripening and the grapes were harvested between 12 and 29 September.
In the cellar, the work was deliberately precise: more than 90 small vats allowed separate vinification of individual (…)
