Chateau Seraphine 2022 is a red Pomerol from Bordeaux's right bank, made on a notably small scale. The estate covers around 2.2 hectares across two parcels, and production of the 2022 vintage was limited to roughly 4,000 bottles. At Drankenshop Broekmans, wines like this stand out because the story is genuinely tied to place, scale and careful handling rather than volume.
The blend is 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc. The 2022 growing season was warm and dry, with several heat periods, so vineyard work focused on reducing water stress. The soils are worked by horse, and the grapes were harvested in small baskets, sorted, destemmed, checked again by hand at berry level and moved into the fermentation tanks by gravity.

Chateau Seraphine 2022 Demi is a half-bottle Pomerol for moments when you want the depth of serious Bordeaux without opening a full bottle. It comes from a small estate of around 2.2 hectares, with production for this vintage at roughly 4,000 bottles. In the 37.5cl format, and with the last bottles now concerned, that limited scale feels especially relevant.
The blend is led by Merlot, with 5% Cabernet Franc. Notably, 2022 is the first vintage in which Cabernet Franc was included in Chateau Seraphine's blend. The growing season was warm and dry, with several heat waves, so the work in the vineyard and cellar had to be particularly measured. Lower extraction choices during vinification were used to avoid pushing the wine too far.
