Chateau Bouscaut Rouge 2022 Magnum is a red Bordeaux from Pessac-Léognan, presented in the generous 1.5 litre format. It is the red wine of Château Bouscaut in Cadaujac, classified as Cru Classé de Graves, and the 2022 vintage is built from 55% merlot, 35% cabernet sauvignon and 10% malbec.The average vine age is given as 35 years, with vineyards on clay-limestone and gravel soils over limestone. For this vintage, the château also notes that the wine was in organic conversion. Ageing lasted 14 months in oak barriques, 40% of them new, adding structure and depth without taking attention away from its Pessac-Léognan origin.

About CH BOUSCAUT
Château Bouscaut is a French winery located in the Pessac-Léognan appellation in the Bordeaux region, south of the city of Bordeaux. The estate has a history dating back to the early 19th century and today covers approximately 47 hectares of vineyard. Both red and white wines are produced here, using the characteristic Bordeaux grape varieties: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec for red, and Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc and a small proportion of Muscadelle for white. Château Bouscaut is especially known for its elegant and balanced wines, which are usually aged in oak, developing both complexity and aging potential. The winery holds the status of Grand Cru Classé de Graves, awarded during the 1953 classification for both red and white wines, something granted to only a handful of châteaux in this region. In recent decades, there has been active investment in quality and sustainability, both in the vineyards and in the cellar. The Lurton family, who took over management in 1992, continues this tradition with much attention to terroir and craftsmanship, resulting in wines that express the distinctive characteristics of the Pessac-Léognan region.
