Château du Tertre 2022 Magnum is a red Bordeaux from Margaux, bottled here in the generous 1.5-litre format. As the grand vin of Château du Tertre, a 5th Grand Cru Classé in the 1855 Médoc classification, it carries the kind of pedigree that immediately places it in a more serious Bordeaux conversation.The 2022 blend is led by cabernet sauvignon at 57%, with a substantial 23% cabernet franc, supported by merlot and petit verdot. That cabernet focus gives the wine its frame: ripe dark fruit, freshness, tension and polished tannic structure. The fruit comes from the estate in Margaux, set on an elevated croupe with Garonne gravel and glacial sand, a setting that is especially relevant in a warm, dry vintage such as 2022.

Fermentation took place in wooden, concrete and stainless-steel vats, with gentle extraction, traditional pump-overs and around twenty days of maceration. Ageing followed in Bordeaux barriques, 60% of them new.
