Château Doisy Daëne 2022 Barsac is a sweet white Bordeaux from Barsac, part of the 1855 Deuxième Cru Classé classification for Sauternes and Barsac. This is the château's classic sweet grand vin, shaped around concentration, freshness and a refined expression of noble rot.The vineyard sits on the limestone plateau of Haut-Barsac, where a thin layer of clayey sand lies over limestone. That setting matters here, because Doisy Daëne is described by the producer as a wine of clear fruit, tension and finesse rather than sweetness alone. The 2022 blend is 95% Sémillon and 5% Sauvignon Blanc.
Grapes are hand-harvested in several selective passes through the vineyard, choosing berries concentrated by noble rot. Fermentation takes place in oak barriques, followed by ageing in barrel and then stainless steel before bottling. The result is a Barsac where candied fruit, citrus, spice and fresh acidity carry the richness rather than letting it become heavy.

Château Doisy Daëne is a French winery located in the Barsac appellation in the Bordeaux region. The estate is mainly known for its sweet white wines, produced primarily from Sémillon grapes, complemented by Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle. Since the beginning of the 20th century, the château has been owned by the Dubourdieu family, who have built a strong reputation in both traditional and modern winemaking. The vineyards of Château Doisy Daëne benefit from the unique microclimate of Barsac, which offers ideal conditions for noble rot (Botrytis cinerea) and thus contributes to the character of the sweet dessert wines. In addition to the classic Barsac, the estate also produces dry white Bordeaux wines, which is relatively unusual for this appellation.
