Wakaze Red Wine Barrel is not a grape wine, but a Junmai sake shaped by a distinctly Burgundian idea. After brewing, the sake is aged in used Pinot Noir barrels from the Jacques Prieur estate, giving the rice-based drink a gentle connection to French red wine culture without turning it into wine.Wakaze France works with the philosophy Mastered in Japan, Made in France: Japanese sake know-how brought together with French ingredients such as rice, koji and water. It is produced at KURA GRAND PARIS in Fresnes near Paris, placing this bottle neatly between sake tradition and French gastronomy.
