Product info about Wakaze The Classic Saké
Wakaze The Classic Saké is a French take on Japanese sake tradition. It is a Junmai sake brewed in France with rice from the Camargue and water from Île-de-France. So although it sits naturally alongside gastronomic drinks, it is not wine in the strict sense, but seishu/nihonshu with a distinctly French setting.Its appeal lies in the meeting of Japanese brewing know-how and French ingredients. As a Junmai, it is brewed without added distilled alcohol, supporting a clean, fresh and relatively light style. The Classic is a key sake within the Wakaze range, and its Platinum Award at Kura Master in 2022 gives extra context to how well this French interpretation has been received.
