Château Dauzac 2021 Magnum is a red Bordeaux from Margaux with a clearly classical feel. It is the grand vin of Château Dauzac, a Grand Cru Classé from the 1855 classification, bottled here in the 1.5 litre magnum format. At Drankenshop Broekmans, a bottle like this stands out for a simple reason: the larger format gives the wine a sense of occasion while keeping the focus firmly on the character of the vintage.The 2021 blend is 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot, grown on the estate's deep gravel croupes in Margaux. The vines average 35 to 40 years of age. This was not an easy year in the vineyard: cool, wet conditions, disease pressure and slower ripening meant that selection played an important role. The estate's position near the Gironde helped during the April frost period, while sunny days in early October were especially valuable for the Cabernet Sauvignon.
After hand harvesting in small crates and careful sorting, the wine was vinified in wooden vats and aged for 15 months in French oak barrels, 65% of them new. Château Dauzac also states that the production is 100% vegan certified. The style is structured, fresh and Margaux in tone, with a profile that sits naturally alongside red meat, game, white meat and cheeses.

Château Dauzac is a French winery located in the heart of the famous Bordeaux region, specifically in the Margaux appellation. The wine estate, which dates back to the 18th century, is one of the historic classified growths from 1855 and is valued for its longstanding tradition of winemaking on high-quality vineyards, consisting mainly of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The estate covers about 49 hectares and operates with great attention to biodiversity and sustainable vineyard management. Château Dauzac is especially known for its wines with a classic Margaux style: elegant, balanced and with a refined structure.
