Chateau Clement Pichon 2021 is a red Haut-Médoc from Bordeaux with a notably Merlot-led composition. The blend is built mainly around Merlot, supported by Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, giving it a slightly different angle from Médoc wines where Cabernet takes a stronger lead.The estate is located in Parempuyre, in the southern part of the Haut-Médoc, on gravelly and sandy soils. Château Clëment Pichon is a winery from the Haut-Mëdoc region, north of Bordeaux in France. The estate has a history dating back to the 17th century, although the current castle in neo-Renaissance style dates from the 19th century. The vineyards of Château Clëment Pichon are located on the left bank of the Gironde river and benefit from the characteristic, gravel-rich soil typical of the Haut-Mëdoc. The estate covers an area of approximately 25 hectares, mainly cultivating classic Bordeaux grape varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The wine style is usually characterized by a fine balance between fruit, power and freshness, with Merlot often playing an important role in the blends.
