Château Le Gay 2021 Magnum is a red Pomerol in a format that naturally gives the bottle more presence. At 1.5 litres, it presents the grand vin of Château Le Gay from the Pomerol plateau, where the estate's parcels are planted on clay and gravel soils.The blend is listed as 90% merlot and 10% cabernet franc. What stands out here is the level of selection behind the wine: hand harvesting in small crates, strict sorting, and berry-by-berry selection after destemming. Château Le Gay is a wine estate in the Bordeaux region of France, located on the prestigious Pomerol plateau. The estate is best known for its red wines, which are largely made from Merlot, often supplemented with a small percentage of Cabernet Franc. The history of Château Le Gay dates back to the 19th century, and over the years it has had various owners. Since 2002, the château has been run by the P&ebreve;by family, who are also responsible for Château La Violette. The vineyards cover about ten hectares and benefit from the unique gravel and clay soils characteristic of Pomerol.
