Château Peyrabon 2021 Magnum is a red Bordeaux from the Haut-Médoc, produced at the château in Saint-Sauveur in the Médoc. The 1.5-litre magnum format gives the bottle real presence at the table, while the wine itself remains the estate's main wine: a Cru Bourgeois Supérieur built in a classic Médoc style.Cabernet Sauvignon leads the 2021 blend, supported by Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. That Cabernet backbone helps explain the wine's focus on structure and defined tannins, alongside its fruit. The vines average 28 years of age and grow mainly on sandy gravel soils over clay, with an additional clay-limestone component.
The winemaking was handled with a careful, parcel-based approach: grape sorting, fermentation in temperature-controlled concrete and stainless steel vats, gentle extraction and an average maceration of 21 days. Ageing lasted 14 months in barriques, 30% of them new, giving the wine a measured oak influence rather than pushing the fruit into the background.

About CH PEYRABON
Château Peyrabon is a wine estate from the Haut-Médoc region in Bordeaux, France, that is especially known for its red wines. The estate is located in the commune of Saint-Sauveur, near Pauillac, on a classic Bordeaux site with mostly gravelly soil, which is favorable for growing cabernet sauvignon and merlot grapes. The history of the estate dates back to the nineteenth century, with the name referring to the castle that stands centrally on the grounds. Since 1998, it has been owned by the group Millésima, part of CA Grands Crus, which has contributed to investments in both the vineyard and cellar. Château Peyrabon covers more than 50 hectares of vineyard and uses traditional Bordeaux methods for vinification: the grapes are processed separately by plot, followed by aging in wooden barrels. The wines of this château are known for their balance, structure and a classic style that ages beautifully in the bottle, with elegant notes typical of the Haut-Médoc. In addition to the main wine, a second wine is often produced under the name La Fleur de Peyrabon, so that younger vines and slightly more approachable wines can also find their way to enthusiasts.
