Product info about Whispering Angel 2023 Magnum (1,5l)
Whispering Angel 2023 Magnum brings the pale, dry rosé style of Côtes de Provence into a generous 1.5 litre bottle. Produced by Caves d'Esclans, associated with Château d'Esclans and Sacha Lichine, it is made from grapes grown around La Motte and the wider Côtes de Provence area, with particular reference to the Esclans valley.For the 2023 vintage, the blend is led by Grenache with Cinsault, Syrah, Rolle and Carignan. The winemaking is focused on keeping the wine clean and fresh: cool handling of the grapes, separate vinification of free-run and pressed juice, temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and no oak ageing. A few months on fine lees with regular bâtonnage adds a gentle roundness while keeping the wine firmly in the bright, dry Provence rosé style.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this magnum feels very much like a bottle for sharing: a relaxed aperitif, a summer table, or lighter food such as grilled salmon, goat's cheese salad, green salads and fresh stir-fry dishes. The larger format adds a sense of occasion without changing the character of the cuvée itself.
The 2023 vintage has been noted by several tasters for its red fruit, saline freshness and length. Serve it chilled, around 8 to 12 °C, to bring out its dry, lively and refreshing side.

Whispering Angel is a French rosé wine that originates from Provence, a region that is renowned worldwide for its high-quality rosé wines. The wine is produced by Château d'Esclans, under the leadership of Sacha Lichine, who took over the estate in 2006 with the ambition to bring rosé to a global level. The grapes for Whispering Angel are mainly hand-picked and consist of Grenache, Cinsault and Rolle (also known as Vermentino), grape varieties typical of the region. The wine stands out for its light, elegant color and a fresh, refined style that is characteristic of modern Provence rosé. Thanks to careful vinification at low temperature, Whispering Angel maintains a subtle balance between fruitiness and fresh acidity, without excessive strength or weight.
