Château Couhins-Lurton White 2021 is a dry white Bordeaux from Pessac-Léognan, from a property classified as Cru Classé de Graves. Its identity is shaped by a clear choice: this is the estate's main white wine, made from 100% sauvignon blanc, whereas white Bordeaux is often based on blends.The 2021 vintage had a rather eventful growing season, with spring rainfall, frost in early April, a moderate summer and then sunnier weather from late August onwards. Warm days and cool nights helped the grapes ripen while keeping the fresh, precise side of sauvignon blanc in focus.
The grapes were hand-harvested in small crates and sorted before pressing. Fermentation took place in barriques, followed by 15 months of ageing, including 12 months in barriques, with regular bâtonnage. That ageing gives the wine texture and a restrained touch of wood, while the citrus-driven sauvignon character remains central.

Ch Couhins Lurton is a wine estate in the Pessac-Leognan appellation, in the Bordeaux region of France. The estate is known for both white (mainly Sauvignon Blanc) and red wines, with the special distinction of being one of the first Bordeaux chateaux to practice fully organic viticulture. The estate has been owned since the 1960s by Andrë Lurton, an influential figure in Bordeaux who has been committed to sustainable farming and modernization of the winery.
