That setting gives the wine substance, while Poggio Antico positions it as the more approachable expression of Sangiovese within the estate's range.The 2021 vintage brought a cold winter and spring, useful rainfall during the growing season and strong temperature shifts in September and October. Fermentation took place in truncated cone-shaped stainless steel and concrete vats, followed by 12 months in 500-litre French oak casks. Poggio Antico works organically and manages its vineyards by separate soil units, allowing each micro-terroir to be handled with precision.
