Marmorelle Chardonnay / Verdeca 2022 is a white Bianco Salento IGT from Puglia, made from a blend led by Chardonnay with Verdeca bringing a regional accent to the wine. It is a good example of how an international grape variety can sit comfortably alongside a local Puglian element.Fermentation takes place at controlled temperature, followed by 4 to 6 months in steel. That choice keeps the style fresh, fruit-driven and direct rather than shaped by oak. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of southern Italian white we like to present when someone wants Puglia with a lighter, brighter expression.
Its dry, fresh and gently mineral style works well with seafood, fish, light starters and vegetarian dishes. It also suits Mediterranean cooking such as spaghetti aglio e olio or chicken with mozzarella, spinach and cherry tomatoes.
