Blanc De La Tour Carnet 2020 reveals a less familiar side of Bordeaux: a dry white wine from the Médoc, a region far more often associated with reds. It is produced by Château La Tour Carnet, a Bernard Magrez estate, and released as Bordeaux Blanc. The white vineyard covers just 1.25 hectares, giving this cuvée a distinctly small-production feel within the estate's range.The blend is led by sauvignon blanc, with sémillon playing a supporting role. The grapes were hand-harvested, gently pressed and fermented at cool temperatures. Ageing for 8 to 10 months on fine lees, with regular bâtonnage, brings extra texture and depth to the wine without losing its fresh Bordeaux identity.
