Château de Fieuzal Blanc 2020 in magnum is a dry white Bordeaux from Pessac-Léognan with a strong sense of place. It is the estate's principal white wine, made from 75% Sauvignon Blanc and 25% Sémillon. The Sauvignon Blanc gives lift, freshness and aromatic definition, while the Sémillon brings a rounder structure and added texture.The white vineyard area covers around 10 hectares on gravel and sand soils. Château de Fieuzal works with many individual parcels, following them separately before the final blend is made. The 2020 vintage was notably early for the estate's white grapes. A mild winter, a warm and wet spring and a dry summer led to the earliest white harvest ever recorded at Fieuzal. Château de Fieuzal is a well-known wine producer located in the appellation of Pessac-Léognan, one of the prestigious wine regions in the Bordeaux region of France. The wine estate has a long history, with roots going back to the 16th century, and is named after the Fieuzal family, who owned the estate for several centuries. The vineyards cover about 39 hectares for red grape varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot, while for white wine about 10 hectares are planted with Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc.
